Women's Day of Reflection
Save the March 31st Date!


Mark your 2012 calendar for Saturday, March 31.   Dr. Wendy Wright, Ph.D. from Creighton University will be coming to St. Elizabeth Ann Seton from the annual Women's Day of Reflection.   The title of her presentation is "The Spiritual Path of Friendship: Guidance from the Saints."   Dr. Wright will talk about the great friendship between two saints, St. Francis de Sales and St. Jane de Chantal.   There is much we also can apply to our own lives and friendships.   Cost for the morning is $15.   Registration forms are in the kiosk in the Church's narthex and will be mailed to those who attended in the past.   Jo Kusek, 402-572-0369

'Catholicism' ~ A DVD Series by Fr. Robert Barron

Teresa Monaghen, an Apostolic Oblate from Pro Sanctity, along with others, will facilitate five of the ten episodes from "Catholicism," by Fr. Robert Barron.   Mark your calendars for these five episodes, plus a potluck supper night to end our time together.   We'll meet Mondays from 7 to 8:30 in SEA Parish Center, 114 and Fort.   Call Jo to resgister.

V   March 26: " Our Tainted Nature's Solitary Boast - Mary, the Mother of God."
V April 2: (Holy Week) "A Body Both Suffering and Glorious - The Mystical Union of Christ and the Church"
V April 9: (Easter Monday) Close with Easter Potluck, prayer, and sharing of graced from the previous five sessions.


Bible Study on Exodus - a ten part DVD series on the Book of Exodus will be held in St. James Parish Center on the following Tuesdays from 7-8 pm:  March 6, 20, 27, April 3, 10, 17, 24 and May 1.   We are working around Parish Missions and Valentine's Day.   The presenter on the DVD is Dr. Tim Gray.   Participants will view a half-hour lecture, followed by a short discussion of the material.   Chris Young will be the facilitator.   RSVP to Jo Kusek, 402-572-0369.


Centering Prayer
We're meeting once a month - watch the Good News, 5:30 - 7 in the SEA Family Room.   The Centering Prayer Method is firmly rooted in the Christian Contemplative tradition.   There is a short DVD talk by Fr. Thomas Keating at every meeting.   Participants experience twenty minutes of silence.   Beginners are welcome.   Facilitated by SEA parishioners, Mary Ann and David Miller.   For information, 402-468-4014, makmiller @hotmail.com
