Individuals who feel a calling to distribute communion at Masses, to the homebound, or in the hospitals are needed at St. James. The Archdiocese of Omaha provides training for candidates during the late summer each year. A Mandation Mass (commissioning) is celebrated in September. Eucharistic ministers (EMHCs) are mandated for a period of three years.
