What a mystery growth is.  Seeds are planted and they grow and they produce fruit and more seed.  It is a cycle that still awes me.   The spiritual growth I see in others also awes me.   As little children, parents taught their sons and daughters the simple prayers of faith and encouraged them to be good, holy people.   They grew up and a relationship with Jesus developed as they progressed through the Sacraments.   They found purpose and meaning as their jobs and lives turned into vocations.   And they began to plant seeds of faith in others.

Being older, I see the children of parishioners who have grown up, had children and are raising their children with faith.   I also see the men and women of our parish who are growing in faith all the time and becoming holier.    It gives me hope for the future and it awes me!

Let us pray for St. James Parish and the Pastoral Staff.
