First Reading:  2 Samuel 12: 1 - 7a, 10 - 17
Responsorial Psalm:  Psalm
Gospel:  Mark 1: 21 - 28

Jesus asks his disciples to cross to the other side.   There are difficulties, but he rescues them.

It reminds me of times when I have made major changes in my life.  I made the decision easily, but then ran into problems.  Some problems I have learned to "weather" and others still scare me when I am not relying on Jesus.

When I was faced with major changes that I hadn't chosen, it seemed to me those times were harder.   When I had to go through surgeries in order to regain my health and mobility, there were times of fear, but by the third surgery I had learned more to rely on Jesus and faith helped me get through it.

When has a major change challenged you and what did you learn about your faith?

Let us pray for St. James Parish and the Pastoral Staff.
