St. James Building Plans
St. James has a strong history of addressing the needs of the parish. We have before us a tremendous opportunity to strengthen and more adequately meet the entire needs of our parish.
Members of the Building Committee and seven subcommittees met to thoroughly investigate the current and future facility needs of our parish. The resulting recommendations were presented in a parish-wide Feasibility Study. Based on the results of the Feasibility Study, the Pastoral Council approved a two-phase Master Plan. We embarked upon Phase I - a $2.5 million campaign to build a new church. Upon completion of this phase, the parish moved forward with an effort to complete the payment of the church and address our school needs.

This is a blueprint of the church plans that was submitted to the bidders. It includes a few changes such as a larger choir room, no cry room, the brides' room is the nursery, there is a storage area and maintenance area behind the altar. Future wish list items include the top of the bell tower and bells, a wall to hide a power transformer on Tomahawk Blvd., some church furnishings and some of the items for the courtyard between the school and the church. |
