Almighty God of faithfulness and love,
As our new church is constructed, 
Keep us ever mindful that the most essential building 
takes place in our hearts.  
We ask you to continue to mold us into a parish family 
grounded in your love.  
Send us your Spirit to make St. James a place 
of safety and hospitality, 
of growth and grace, 
of nurturing and healing.  
With Christ as our cornerstone 
forge us into a community of one mind and heart 
as we freely give back 
our time, talent and treasure.  
Create us anew as we celebrate 
RENEW 2000 and Beyond, 
living our faith and building our future.
