Gardeners
Women and men who love to garden can share their time and talent with St. James
Parish. Once a month-usually the first
Friday and Saturday-workdays are scheduled for planting and trimming.
The gardening chores require the same skills that you use in your own yard.
The gardeners conduct the Plant Sale in late spring to raise money for plants
and supplies.
Teams of two gardeners are also assigned to water the plants each week.
All assignments and information are disseminated over the phone and
through mailings.
Lawn Care Crews
Teams of parishioners (men, women and teens) volunteer to mow and provide lawn care for
our parish grounds once a month. This group works
from April through October maintaining the lawns.
Weather permitting, the lawn care crews
mow on Saturday mornings.
