Wednesday of Easter Week

Reading and Reflection

Reading I:   Acts 3: 1 - 10
Responsorial Psalm:   Psalm 105: 1 - 2, 3 - 4, 6 - 7, 8 - 9
Gospel:   Luke 24: 13 - 35

The Road to Emmaus has so many layers of teaching and meaning for us.   May we suggest that you read it and then take a walk.   As you walk, talk to Jesus.  Then listen.   Will Jesus let you know the meaning of the recent events in your life?   Will He lead you to break bread with him?   Will you find that you recognize Jesus in someone?   Take the walk.   It may rain tonight and wash the world for us, so tomorrow may be a great day for a rainy walk, too!

A word of thanks to all who made our Holy Week come together from priests to ushers, cooks to teachers, gardeners to cleaners, lectors to musicians, and candidates to elect.   THANK YOU!

ALLELUIA!

Today let us pray for St. James Parish and the Pastoral Staff.

The readings can be accessed at  http://www.usccb.org/nab/readings/032608.shtml  This is an easy click to the daily readings.  Use the back button on your browser to return to the reflection.    We continue to build this ministry and pray for parishioners to contribute monthly.
