St. James Parish serves 1,450+ families in northwest Omaha.

We are a welcoming, and ministering community that continues the mission of Jesus Christ through worship, faith formation and service, always guided by Christ's words:
"Love one another, as I have loved you."

We strive toward this mission by:

V  Cultivating spiritual growth through prayer and liturgy

V  Strengthening community through group activities

V Responding to the needs of our community by sharing our spiritual and material gifts.

11th Annual Women's Day of Reflection is coming February 4 featuring Dr. Wendy Wright.

??? Question of the Week ????

Scripture:  Mark 1: 29 - 39
Question for adults:  If you were going to pray for healing for any reason, what would it be?   What needs to be healed in our world and society?
Question for youth:  What can you do to help your friends and classmates know more about Jesus?
Questions for children:   Jesus provided relief to those who were hurting.  Do you know someone who is hurting?   What could you do to comfort someone who is hurt?

Daily Scripture Readings 2003 to present

In preparation for the 50th Anniversary Edition of the 2013 parish pictorial directory, we have set dates for photographers to be here that includes, we hope, weeks when college students would be at home.

The dates are July 31, August 1, 2, 3, 4,  August 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 28, 29, 30, 31, and September 1.   Mark the dates on your calendar, and plan now to have your family portrait taken. Georgia Johnson, 402-572-0499, ext. 12
